Qyoko Kudo
Qyoko Kudo is a Japanese actress in film and on stage. While having acting classes at UPS Studio in Tokyo, she got her role in the Alejandro González Iñárritu film 'Babel' in 2006 cast by Yoko Narahashi. Accumulating experience in acting, she started engaging in the films created by artists from abroad as well as those by domestic directors. The Edmund Yeo film 'kingyo' brought her to Venice International Film Festival in 2009. She joined Busan International Film Festival in 2016 by the Norihiro Niwatsukino film 'Suffering of Ninko'. She was nominated for a Best Lead Actress award at St. Tropez International Film Festival in 2013 by the Sutipornprachum Vichian film 'Clothes Pegs'. She received Best Actress award at Moonwhite Films International Film Festival in 2021 by the Hamish Downie film 'Matcha and Vanilla'. She is also known for her roles in James Mangold's 'The Wolverine'. Kudo is a rare Japanese actress in her age who often uses her cross bike or her motorcycle to travel in/outside Tokyo. First-dan Aikido player. Japanese and English speaker. She has been participating in a grief program to support children.
