Khalid Rivera

Khalid Rivera is an actor and chart-topping recording artist known for his extensive work on the screen, stage and in music. Having grown up in NYC, Khalid Rivera was given the opportunity to experience different cultures, meet incredible and diverse people and to jump into the biz. He began his career on Broadway in, The Capeman, produced by Paul Simon, and Juan Darien, directed by Julie Taymor. He performed at Carnegie Hall and sang the National Anthem in Madison Square Garden. He is truly grateful for his early successes and for a Mother who fostered and supported his desires and dreams. He jumped into the music world next. Incredibly, his first two singles, Every Nite and Salvation, played in clubs and on radio stations globally. Salvation made it to #1 and Every Nite stayed at #1 for 3 weeks on LOGO TV! After a successful record deal, he decided to self-release Who Do U Love. It was a hit, charting in the top 20 everywhere and made it to the top 10 finals in the USA Songwriting Competition, for best Dance/Electronica song! Following this success, Music Plant Group signed him and released Enough Is Enough. It topped the charts everywhere and was nominated for Best Dance Artist in the Indie Music Channel Awards! Although his music career had been an amazing adventure, acting started buzzing again so he had to listen! He wants to set an example that it is possible to work in all sorts of medium. Since taking the leap back into acting, he's booked roles on well-known shows such as Pose, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Broad City, as well as lead roles in film and theatre. His greatest goal is to be part of thought-provoking work that is inspiring and of course, to make people laugh!
