Arlene Tur
Feisty Cuban Arlene Tur was born and raised in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents. Tur spent her entire childhood in Miami, attending the International University of Florida on dual academic and athletic scholarships, and graduated with Marketing and Public Relations degrees.
During college Tur played professional beach volleyball, where she started getting approached by modeling agents and began a career as a model.
Arlene began studying acting and trained with Uta Hagen in New York City, and Howard Fine in Los Angeles.
Arlene began her acting career in the Hispanic comedy hit series, "Los Teens," subsequently, Tur worked on the hit television series, "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lie to Me."
In 2008 Tur join the cast of STARZ original series based on the Oscar winning film, as part of a talented ensemble cast (playing Bebe Arcel) and in 2010 appeared in the hit film Eat, Pray, Love as Armenia alongside Julia Roberts.
More recently Tur starred on BBC's "Torchwood: Miracle Day" as surgeon 'Dr. Vera Juarez.' recurring in 5 episodes.
Tur spends her free time working on writing slapstick comedy scripts (she already has an entire film script in the can), painting and exploring photography.
