Tia Hendricks
Born and raised in South Florida to Jamaican parents, Tia Hendricks is a versatile actress with a vast range of characters on both the small and big screen.
Tia's television credits include recurring roles on CBS' "Under the Dome" and OWN's original series "Queen Sugar." Other small screen credits include USA Network's, "Satisfaction", FOX's "Sleepy Hollow" and "Powers", the Marvel Comic book turned PlayStation Network series where homicide detectives investigate crimes involving super human powers.
Notable film work include her performance as 'Doreen Dupree' alongside Queen Latifah and Tika Sumpter in HBO's, Emmy award-winning film, "Bessie", the eldest daughter of Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe in TV ONE's, "Downsized" and her appearance as young Rose in "The Sin Seer" starring Isaiah Washington, Lisa Arrindell and C.Thomas Howell.
Most recently, Tia worked on "Burden", WME's feature film and winner of the 2018 Sundance festival audience award. The Florida native appeared alongside Forest Whitaker, Andrea Riseborough, Garrett Hedlund and Usher Raymond.
Having spent most of her youth in dance studios, Tia is also a classically trained dancer with 19 years experience.
Akin to her dance background, Tia moves effortlessly through a myriad of unique voices and accents including regional southern dialects (as heard in performance in "Bessie"), a Latina accent mixed with conversational Spanish thanks to her South Florida upbringing and an authentic Jamaican accent credited to her Jamaican heritage.
