Megan Charpentier
Megan Charpentier was born on May 26th, 2001 in New Westminster, British Columbia. She began her career in commercials at the age of 3, graduating to dramatic work 3 years later with her first guest star role in the series PAINKILLER JANE (2007). The succession of films and TV series that followed fuelled her love of acting from a young age. Highlights included the role of a young Amanda Seyfried twice, first in JENNIFER's BODY(2009) and again in RED RIDING HOOD (2011); and the role of the iconic villain The Red Queen in RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION (2012), starring Mila Jovovich. Megan's breakout role came at the age of 12, in Guillermo Del Toro's MAMA (2013) directed by Andy Muschietti. Starring opposite Jessica Chastain and Nikolai Coster-Waldau, she portrayed Victoria, a girl who was raised by a supernatural being and must relearn how to live among people. She followed that up with notable roles in THE GAMESMAKER(2014) with Joseph Fiennes; THE SHACK (2017) opposite Sam Worthington and Tim McGraw. She was Kate, a teenage girl grieving the sudden murder or her sister; and THE CANNON (2019) as Izzy, a young woman learning her father's secret and how it will affect her future. Megan appeared as Gretta in the long awaited adaptation of Stephen King's IT (2017) directed by MAMA director, reprising her role once again in IT:CHAPTER TWO(2019) Also with director Andy Mushietti, she landed the lead role of Kinsey Locke in Hulu's LOCKE AND KEY, playing the middle sister in a family tasked with unlocking mysteries in their haunted home. She brought a physicality to the role of a blind Fethin in the Apple TV+ series SEE, guest starring alongside Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard. In her young career, Megan has held he own alongside many of Hollywood's top stars, bringing compassion and commitment to a broad range of performances which have earned her several notable nominations and awards along the way.
