Eric Steinig
Eric Steinig was born on Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His mother Maria Lopez, a government contracted telephone operator, was born in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico (formerly known as San Juan Pueblo) and his father Richard Steinig, a U.S. Air Force Airman, was born in Chicago, Illinois to European Immigrants. After his parents divorced at a young age, Eric, the fourth of five children, and his siblings were raised by their mother in a bilingual home in Albuquerque.
Eric is of Spanish, German, Polish and Native American descent.
Steinig, a student of Criminal Justice in college, served in the U.S. Marine Corps post 9/11, as a non-commissioned officer, engaging in combat overseas. In 2007 he pursued his acting career first landing a small role on the Jim Sheridan film Brothers (2009). Eric has since appeared in several films and television shows. Most recently working with director David Ayer in Deputy (2020) and recurring in the multi Emmy-nominated hit Better Call Saul (2015).
