Matthew Joseph is an upcoming Australian-Hollywood actor. His parents hails from Kerala, India. He was born in Muscat, Oman and his family migrated to Australia when he was 2 years old. As a young child, he showed a great passion towards singing, dancing and acting. Matthew played various roles in productions whilst in primary school, which sparked his passion towards acting. It was at the age of 10 that his novice acting skills took center stage, with his role as Aladdin in the production Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. The following year, he went to play Bert in Mary Poppins. He received the Art Excellence award at his school. At the age of 11, after an initial evaluation of his acting skills, he was directly enrolled into professional senior acting classes including American and British accents with ease. His first break in professional acting was an appearance in a Queensland Government advertisement. At the age of 13, he was selected for a Main Cast role in the much-awaited Hollywood drama series "Shantaram" produced by Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content and released on Apple TV Plus . Matthew loves to be on set and enjoys every moment of it. His interactions with other well known actors and crews in the production gave him plenty of experience in acting and appreciation from those behind the scenes. He worked with three great directors and all of them recognized the actor in him. Matthew learned Highland dancing, violin and singing for several years. He played soccer in various local clubs and learned martial arts karate and Shaolin Kempo. Matthew has always dreamed and been passionate about becoming an actor. He is very keen to develop his career in acting and looks forward for more exciting and challenging roles.
