Sulile Kumar
Sulile Kumar hails from Bangalore, India and having come from a non-filmy background, he stepped into the industry at a very young age. He believes in getting recognised for his talent and similarly, his down-to-earth personality, commitment to movies and his aptitude for acting, has helped him gain wide recognition predominantly in the Tamil and Kannada industry. Having written, directed and acted in the movie The Broken Tide (2017), Sulile's long term plan is to become a full fledge writer, director and producer along with being an actor.
Sulile made his acting debut as a supporting role in Tarun Gopi's Tamil movie, Kaalai (2008) (2008), with director Tarun Gopi giving him a new stage-name of Tarun Shatriya. He continued to portray antagonistic roles in Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009) (2009) by Rajamohan , Nagaram (2010) (2010) by Sundar C. and Markandeyan (2011) (2011) by Fefsi Vijayan before playing the lead role in the romantic comedy Padam Parthu Kaadhal Sol (2012) and the unreleased investigative thriller Kandupidi Kandupidi. In 2013, he acted in an Indian Tamil action mystery drama film Thagaraaru (2013) directed by a newcomer Ganesh Vinayak. In the year 2015, Sulile Kumar debuted along side Samyuktha Hornadu in the Kannada film Maarikondavaru, that bagged awards at the State, National and International levels, in which he played a real life character of Devanura Mahadeva, an award-winning novelist and writer in Kannada. Later he went on to work as a lead in a period drama, Kalathur Gramam (2017) with Kishore and Yagna Shetty which was directed by Adwaithan and composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Meanwhile he also worked on an unreleased investigative thriller Kandupidi Kandupidi. In 2016, Sulile Kumar wrote, directed and acted in a short film The Broken Tide (2017), which revolves around troubled relationships. In 2017, Sulile Kumar reverted to using his original name and was seen as the antagonist in the horror film Dora (2017) by Dass Ramasamy with Nayanthara and he will soon be also seen in a period drama Santhana Devan (2018) by Ameer Sultan.
